As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our clients’ WordPress-based websites. You will work closely with our design and development teams to create custom themes, plugins, and functionality that meet the unique needs and specifications of our clients. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of WordPress architecture, strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development, and a passion for creating scalable and high-performing websites.

Wat je gaat doen

  • Collaborate with the design team to implement responsive and visually appealing website designs using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Develop custom themes, plugins, and extensions to extend the functionality of WordPress and meet project requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers to ensure high-quality code standards and best practices are followed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress, themes, plugins, and third-party integrations.
  • Optimize website performance, security, and scalability through efficient coding practices and caching techniques.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and innovative solutions.

Wat je nodig hebt

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
  • Strong expertise in Elementor
  • Strong expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including libraries such as jQuery), and responsive design principles.
  • Extensive experience with PHP and MySQL, including custom theme and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and customizing popular WordPress frameworks and themes (e.g., Genesis, Divi, Avada).
  • Solid understanding of web standards, SEO principles, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal or Joomla.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and plugins, such as WooCommerce.
  • Knowledge of front-end build tools and frameworks (e.g., Gulp, Webpack, React, Vue.js).
  • Understanding of server administration and hosting environments (e.g., Apache, Nginx, AWS, Azure).
