Development
The client
Nautilius is a full platform and ECO system that makes a significant contribution in securing OT and IoT environments.
The challenge
Nautilus is a startup specializing in providing Cyber Security for OT and IoT environments. These are mostly automated production processes characterized by a diversity of anomalous protocols. Regular IT Cyber Security solutions do not see these components, but are connected mostly to the Internet or internal infrastructure. Regular IT security focuses on TCP/IP-based data traffic. OT and IoT has its own protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and S7comm.
Although Nautilus' primary focus is OT and IoT, it also serves to help secure IT environments. Nautilus asked Atlantis Digital with product development and market strategy.
Our Approach
Together with the security specialists and OT engineers, we started researching and thoroughly analyzing the most common industrial protocols. We conducted research in industrial production environments and did the necessary interviews with plant managers. Furthermore, we also researched Cyber Security laws and regulations such as NIS2, CRA and ISO standards. A solution must also contribute significantly to this. Separately, we conducted market research with a focus within the EU through data collection and analysis and field research. Although Nautilus' primary focus is OT and IoT, it should also help secure IT environments. Nautilus requested Atlantis Digital with product development and market strategy.
The Solution
Tooling
UX/UI, Python, AI, LLM
Atlantis performed the technical analysis as well as field research. Together with an industrial partner, a functional and technical design was developed.
The platform was developed in Python, partly because AI plays an important role in the intended solution. An in-house developed LLM (Long Language Model) analyzes obtained data and generates reports in plain language.
The UX/UX designs were developed, based on the realized brandbook, and tested on the target audience. We developed an MVP and actually tested it in an industrial production environment with amazing results and a large amount of data. The data was further analyzed and together with Nautilus we developed the first version of the platform.
The growth hack team developed a go-to-market strategy and collected data to generate as much awareness as possible and, of course, conversions to orders. Based on the 42 Metrix method, Nautilus is supported in growth.
The Result
Nautilius is a full platform and ECO system that makes a significant contribution in securing OT and IoT environments. It can work together with complementary components such as P-X Systems for critical infrastructures, for example. Nautilus offers Discover, Detect, Monitor and Respond. Through AI, Nautilus advises the possible solutions if an issue is detected.
A distinctive website was designed for Nautilus as well as a marketing plan and communications calendar. Also, the first market introductions were made.
"With Atlantis, we have a partner who has not only proven technical, but has also taken care of all the things around it such as branding, marketing and communication. Knock on the door also market introductions. Atlantis is a committed partner and we are very content with their growth program."
